OSM 603 is recommended for industrial use as a biocide in disinfection programs for membrane systems. The product rinses the surface of membranes, prevents the destructive biochemical effects of microorganisms, the appearance of unpleasant odors in the permeate, prolongs the service life of membranes and reduces maintenance costs.
It has a broad spectrum of action and is used to control the growth of bacteria, fungi, protozoa and algae, which cause biofouling and reduce work efficiency.




OSM 603 is a concentrated liquid biocide based on isothiazolines with excellent microbicidal properties. The product has an immediate effect.
The active components of the product disrupt the transport of nutrients across the membrane and destroy their cells and nuclei. It has biodispersing properties, destroys and removes biofilm. OSM 603 is a stable biocide that does not create foam.
OSM 603 is non-corrosive and does not react with metals, rubber or other materials. OSM 603 is compatible with all antiscalants and is recommended for cleaning heavily soiled systems.


The OSM 603 product is dosed using a dosing pump by means of periodic shock doses. Typical dosage is 50 – 200 g/m3 1-2 times a week for an hour at the inlet of the reverse osmosis unit in case of insufficient pretreatment.
To wash the membranes from biofouling, a washing solution is prepared: 100 – 150 ml of OSM 603 per 1 m3 of washing solution (depending on the degree of contamination). The product is diluted with permeate. It is recommended to keep the solution for at least 15 minutes, followed by circulation of the solution for 1 to 2 hours at a temperature of 30-40°C and thorough rinsing with permeate.
