OSM 610 is a liquid universal antiscalant. It perfectly controls and prevents the formation of scale and deposits on membrane elements.
Designed for membrane plants operating on hard water. It is used for all types of membranes. All components of the antiscalant can be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The product is suitable for membrane systems producing drinking water.

OSM 610 is a versatile scale inhibitor that multiplies the solubility of hardly soluble salts such as carbonates, sulfates (CaSO₄↩, BaSO₄↩, SrSO₄↩), CaF₂↩ fluorides, iron and silicates.
These salts, in the form of solid deposits, block the membranes and impede filtration. As a result, the pressure drop increases and the plant performance decreases, which can also cause deformation and rupture of the membrane elements. OSM 610 is effective for medium to high hardness water.
The action of OSM 610 antiscalant is based on the mechanism of threshold inhibition, modification of the surface of inorganic salt crystals, which stops the growth of crystals and destroys their structure. The dispersing properties are manifested in a change in the charge of the particles and a decrease in their ability to agglomerate (stick together). Thus, a finely dispersed emulsion is formed.

The dosage of the antiscalant depends on the quality of the source water and the operating characteristics of the reverse osmosis system. The typical dosage of OSM 610 is from 0.5 to 6.0 mg/L of incoming water. The antiscalant should be continuously and proportionally dosed upstream of the cartridge filters and high pressure pump.
The product is ready to use and can be dosed undiluted. If necessary, it can be diluted with permeate (dilution recommended 5 – 10%). Compatible with many chemicals used for reverse osmosis systems. Optimization of the dosing regimen is carried out by technical specialists of our service centers.
