OSM 605 is a liquid acid concentrate. It perfectly softens and washes away hardly soluble carbonate and iron deposits on membrane elements. It is intended for ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis membrane systems.
It is applicable for all types of membranes. All components of the concentrate can be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The product is suitable for membrane systems producing drinking water.
OSM 605 is a special formulation for cleaning hard-to-dissolve carbonate salts and iron compounds.
These salts, in the form of solid deposits, gradually block the membranes and impede filtration. As a result, the pressure drop increases and the plant performance decreases, which can also cause deformation and rupture of the membrane elements. The highly effective components of OSM 605 concentrate soften and disperse the deposits.
The frequency of flushing depends on the operating mode and performance characteristics of the membrane plant. Indicators of the need to flush the plant are deterioration of the filtrate quality, reduced productivity and/or an increase in the pressure drop by more than 15%.
The working solution is prepared in a special chemically resistant container and it is recommended to use permeate for its preparation. The pH of the washing solution should be at the level of 1.5 – 2.5. If pH correction is necessary, use alkali, ammonia water (NH4OH) or alkaline concentrate OSM 606. Circulate the cleaning solution for 2 to 24 hours. The temperature of the cleaning solution should not exceed 40 °C. The optimization of the washing regime is carried out by technical specialists of our service centers.
