OSM 106 is a liquid residual oxygen inhibitor and binder.
It is intended for corrective treatment of steam boilers where softened or partially demineralized water is used as feed. It is used to control oxygen corrosion processes in low and medium pressure boilers. The maximum boiler water temperature is +300 °C, the maximum pressure is 40 atm.




OSM 106 is a universal inhibitor based on catalyzed bisulfite. It is a powerful oxygen reducer whose effect is already apparent at normal temperatures.
The presence of a catalyst increases the speed of the reduction reaction, allowing for the rapid and complete removal of dissolved oxygen from the water supplying the system.
OSM 106 helps to create and maintain a uniform magnetic protective film on the metal surface.


The dosage of the inhibitor depends on the quality of the water supplying the system, the amount of residual oxygen, and the required sulfite residue in the boiler water. OSM 106 is a ready-to-use product that is dosed using a dosing pump. The recommended injection point is the suction of the feed pump, or the bottom of the feed tank or deaerator.
The product can be diluted with additional or feed water up to 5-10%. Dosage control: maintaining the sulfite residue in the boiler water at the level of 10 – 30 mg/l SO3. Other parameters are controlled in accordance with the requirements of the operating mode card. OSM 106 is compatible with many boiler water treatment chemicals. The optimization of the dosing regime is carried out by the technical specialists of our service centers.
