OSM 105 is a liquid universal corrosion and scale inhibitor and residual oxygen binder.
It is intended for corrective treatment of steam boilers where softened or demineralized water is used as feed. It is used to control corrosion and scale formation in low and medium pressure boilers.
OSM 105 is a universal scale inhibitor based on catalyzed sulfite, polyphosphates and dispersants. The active ingredients of the product prevent the deposition of hardness salts, phosphates and iron, preventing scale formation.
The product has the ability to maintain alkalinity within the limits that cause the least corrosion. Due to the action of highly effective dispersants, OSM 105 increases the solubility of all salts concentrated in boiler water.
During the boiler operation, it helps to gradually wash away the existing scale. It quickly binds residual dissolved oxygen and helps to create and maintain a uniform protective film on the metal surface.
The dosage of the inhibitor depends on the quality of the feed water, the operating characteristics of the steam boiler, and the required phosphate and sulfite residue in the boiler water. OSM 105 is a ready-to-use product that is dosed using a dosing pump. The recommended injection point is the suction of the feed pump or the bottom of the feed tank or deaerator.
Dosage control: maintaining the phosphate residue in the boiler water at the level of 5 – 20 mg/L RO4 and sulfite residue at the level of 10 – 30 mg/L SO3. Other parameters are controlled in accordance with the operating mode card. OSM 105 is compatible with many boiler water treatment chemicals.
