OSM 208 is a liquid inhibited slightly acidic product. It softens and washes away hardly soluble carbonate and iron deposits.
Designed for chemical flushing of pipelines, heat exchange equipment, steam and hot water boilers. Suitable for all types of surfaces: stainless, galvanized and non-ferrous alloys, ceramic and rubber surfaces. It is used as a pre-start-up flushing before preparing the system for operation.
OSM 208 is a special formulation for cleaning hard-to-dissolve carbonate salts and iron compounds.
These salts form a deposit on heat exchange surfaces in the form of solid or loose deposits, impede heat transfer, increase energy consumption, fuel consumption and reduce boiler efficiency.
As a result, metal surfaces can overheat, which can lead to deformation and rupture, creating an emergency situation. The highly effective components of the OSM 208 concentrate soften and disperse deposits, thus preventing them from being deposited elsewhere at lower velocities.
The working solution is prepared by diluting the concentrate with softened water or condensate in a special chemically resistant container. The recommended temperature of the cleaning solution is 35 to 50 °C.
The end of the rinsing time can be judged when the pH stabilizes or the pressure drops. Rinse the system until the pH is normalized and preferably store it. Before discharging into the drainage system, comply with local regulations for pH and salt content (use dilution and/or alkaline neutralization).
