OSM 200 is a liquid inhibited strong acid concentrate.
It softens and cleans hardly soluble carbonate and iron deposits. It is intended for chemical cleaning of heat exchange equipment, steam and hot water boilers. Suitable for steel surfaces, copper alloys and copper-containing alloys. Additionally, it is intended for use with some non-ferrous metals.
OSM 200 is a special formulation for the removal of hard-to-dissolve carbonate salts and iron compounds. Salts that settle on heat exchange surfaces in the form of solid or loose deposits impede heat transfer, increase energy consumption, fuel consumption and reduce the efficiency of the boiler and heat exchange equipment.
As a result, metal surfaces may overheat, which can lead to deformation and rupture, creating an emergency.
The highly effective components of the OSM 200 Concentrate soften and disperse deposits, thus preventing them from settling in areas with lower velocities.
The working solution is prepared by diluting the concentrate with softened water or condensate in a special chemically resistant container. The cleaning solution is circulated for 2-24 hours. The recommended temperature of the cleaning solution is 35 to 50 °C.
The end of the flushing time can be judged by the stabilization of the pH parameters or a drop in pressure. Rinse the system until the pH is normalized and preferably store it. Before discharging into the drainage system, comply with local regulations for pH and salt content (use dilution and/or alkaline neutralization).
