OSM 1203 is recommended for use as a biocide in water stabilization programs for open and closed cooling systems, splash pools, air conditioning systems, and service water storage tanks in swimming pools.
It has a broad spectrum of action and is used to control the growth of bacteria, fungi, protozoa and algae, which cause biofouling and reduce the efficiency of industrial cooling systems.
OSM 1203 is a concentrated liquid biocide based on isothiazolines with excellent microbicidal, fungicidal and algaecidal properties.
The active components of the product destroy hydrogen bonds between protein amino acids, disrupt the permeability of the biocell membrane and cationic substance. It has biodispersing properties, destroys and removes biofilm. It is effective in controlling anaerobic bacteria.
OSM 1203 is a stable, nonvolatile, non-foaming biocide with a prolonged effect. OSM 1203 is non-corrosive and does not react with metals, rubber and other materials. The product works in both alkaline and acidic environments. OSM 1203 is compatible with all inhibitors for cooling systems.
OSM 1203 is dosed by means of a metering pump by means of periodic shock doses. Typical dosage is 5 – 50 g/m3 based on the total volume of water in the system.
The optimal dosing regimen for OSM 1203 is selected individually for each system. Dosage control is carried out using special bacteriological testing methods (counting the total microbial count of the TMC) and visual inspection methods.
