Product SD 1203 is recommended for use as a non-oxidizing biocide in water stabilization programs for open and closed cooling systems, splash pools, air conditioning systems, process water storage tanks, and swimming pools.
It has a broad spectrum of action and is used to control the growth of bacteria, fungi, protozoa and algae, which cause biofouling and reduce the efficiency of industrial cooling systems.
Product SD 1203 is a concentrated liquid biocide based on isothiazolines with excellent microbiocidal, fungicidal and algaecidal properties.
The active components of the product destroy hydrogen bonds between amino acids of the protein, which disrupts the permeability of the biocell membrane. Effective for controlling anaerobic bacteria.
SD 1203 is a stable, non-volatile, non-foaming biocide with a prolonged effect. SD 1203 is non-corrosive and does not react with metals, rubber and other materials. The product works in both alkaline and acidic environments. SD 1203 is compatible with all inhibitors for cooling systems.
The SD 1203 product is dosed by means of a metering pump by means of periodic shock doses. Typical dosage is 5 – 25 g/m3 based on the total volume of water in the system.
The optimal dosing regimen for SD 1203 is selected individually for each system. Dosage control is carried out using special bacteriological testing methods (counting the total microbial count of the TMC), visual inspection methods.
