OSM 1 is recommended for industrial use as an oxidizing biocide for disinfection of drinking water, in stabilization programs for water treatment of open cooling systems, splash pools, air conditioning systems, and process water storage tanks.
It has the properties of a strong oxidant with a wide spectrum of bactericidal action and is used to control biofouling.

OSM 1 is a concentrated liquid biocide based on stabilized sodium hypochlorite with excellent bactericidal, fungicidal and algaecidal properties.
The product has an immediate effect. The active components of the solution oxidize and destroy the cell membrane, which leads to nucleus and cell lysis. OSM 1 is a strong oxidant and can lead to increased corrosive activity towards metals, so appropriate protection should be provided.
It is recommended for use in neutral or slightly acidic environments. OSM 1 is compatible with oxidant-resistant inhibitors and is recommended for heavily contaminated systems, for water containing ammonia, phenols, organic, aliphatic and aromatic solvents.

OSM 1 is administered in a continuous or shock mode using a metering pump or by batch dosing. The level and mode of dosing depends on the pH and chlorine absorption of the medium, temperature and the required level of residual chlorine. Typical dosage is 5-50 g/m3, with 50-100 g/m3 in case of heavy contamination.
At high pH levels, use together with OSM 1 donor. To prevent the development of addiction, it is recommended to combine with biocides of another class of action. Dosage control is carried out using special methods of bacteriological testing (total microbial count, etc.), visual inspection methods. Consultations on optimization of water and chemical regime are provided by technical specialists of our service centers.
