OSM 300 is recommended for industrial use as an anti-corrosion water treatment program for closed and semi-open cooling systems, used as an additive.

  • OSM 300 is a concentrated liquid product based on corrosion inhibitors, molybdates and effective dispersants with stable anti-corrosion properties against steel, copper and non-ferrous alloys.
  • The anti-corrosion effect of OSM 300 is based on the mechanism of formation of a dense passivation film on the entire metal surface, which acts as a strong anode-cathode corrosion inhibitor.

Purpose

OSM 300 is recommended for industrial use as an anti-corrosion water treatment program for closed and semi-open cooling systems used as supplemental, demineralized or softened water.

It is especially suitable for systems with different construction materials, a wide range of speeds and temperatures. The product is most effective in the pH range of 7.0 - 12.0 at temperatures up to 130 °C.

The anti-corrosion effect of OSM 300 is based on the mechanism of formation of a dense passivation film over the entire metal surface and acts as a strong anode-cathode corrosion inhibitor.

The dispersants in OSM 300 provide high solubility of molybdate complexes and other hardly soluble salts, uniform passivation and prevent the formation of secondary deposits.

Dosing recommendations

The dosage of the OSM 300 inhibitor depends on the quality of the source water and the performance of the cooling system. The product is dosed using a dosing pump to the total volume of water in the system. Typical dosage is 500 – 3000 g/m3 of circulating water. Before the initial dose of the inhibitor is introduced, it is mandatory to clean the system using, for example, OSM 6 biocide. The treatment is monitored by maintaining the pH of the system at 8.5 – 11.0 and the residual molybdate of at least 200 – 500 mg/L MoO4 (for closed systems).

Note: Before discharging the water from the system into the drainage, it is necessary to check its quality for compliance with the discharge standards (dilute to the normative indicators for salt content, pH and molybdates).
